Social network research has been a powerful tool to understand important organizational phenomena spanning different research areas. A social network approach allows organizational scholars to capture the complex and dynamic interactions among individuals in the workplace and gain a finer grained understanding of the phenomenon of interest. In this presentation, we will synthesize various applications of social network analysis in organizational research in the past and discuss promising future directions of social network research.research and practice are discussed. | |||

报告人简介 | |||
Ning Li (ning-li-1@uiowa.edu) is an associate professor of Management and Organizations at University of Iowa. He received his Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. His research focuses onteam effectiveness, social network, and leadership. He has authored several articles on topics such as leadership, increasing the effectiveness of teams, personality and individual differences. His articles have appeared in such journals as the Academy of Management Review, the Academy of Management Annals, Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Journal of Management, and Leadership Quarterly. In 2014, he won the college-wide Early Career Research Award in the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa. He is a current editorial board member for Journal of Organizational Behavior and serves as a Ad Hoc Review for Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management and others. |
